Job Vacancy: P/T Admin Assistant

In order to deal with a steadily increasing workload, Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival needs to expand its small team. To this end, we are seeking an energetic, organised multi-tasking administrative assistant who will keep the busy day-to-day administrative and financial procedures running smoothly.

Post: Admin Assistant, part-time permanent.
Salary: circa £17,000 pro rata 20 hours per week.
Closing date for applications: 1 February 2017
Interview date: 14 February, 4pm onwards.

This post is funded by the Holywood Trust.

Established in 1979, Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival runs Scotland’s largest rural performing arts festival for ten days each May. In recent years the festival has grown significantly in scale and ambition. In June 2016, we piloted Dumfries and Galloway Arts Live, a year-round performing arts touring programme which supports a network of promoters, venues, artists and community groups.

Owing to this expansion, we are looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant to join our small team. Supporting the Festival Producer and Programme Director, the role is to implement and maintain administrative and financial procedures to ensure the effective day-to-day running of the organisation. The position is based in our Dumfries offices at Gracefield Arts Centre.

The ideal candidate will be an organised, efficient individual with an eye for detail, proven administrative skills and who enjoys working in a multi-tasking role with competing priorities.

Moreover, he or she will be just as comfortable working as a vital part of a team as well as using their own initiative to get the job done.
