Desperation Bingo is an interactive game show that is suitable for age 14+
This is a professional theatrical production created by our emerging artists who are age 21+

Desperation Bingo merges verbatim theatre with our favourite seaside game – bingo! However, we’re playing for high stakes. We’re playing for the last 69p in Heather’s account. We’re playing for the cost of her public liability insurance. We’re playing for the story of when she used to steal birthday cakes from work which would feed her and her flatmate for a week. We’re playing for Creative Scotland funding, 25p vodka at the Jaffacake in 1999, we’re playing to stop Heather’s Mum having her disability benefits cut. It’s just for fun. But it might just change your life.

Creative Electric is a professional theatre company that creates accessible socio-political theatre and performance for people that do not traditionally attend main stream arts events.

Led by Heather Marshall, who has over 15 years experience of creating work with professional performers, community groups and non-performers, the production is set over the course of a night out and explores expectations of masculinity with a focus on the pressure to have sex.

Creative Electric run regular outreach projects in schools, community groups and working with the local community police. Previously they have worked in collaboration with Link Up Womens Centre, Granton Youth Centre, Whale, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, The Arches, Dance Base, NHS Scotland, Youth Theatre Arts Scotland and the National Theatre of Scotland.

We also run a young company for performers aged 16-22 years who are interested in exploring contemporary performance. Creative Electric young company is open to all interested young people.

Creative Electric’s programme supports artists to create work for young people, predominantly in the 16-25 years age group. They will be running a FREE workshop during the day.
