Gather round and hear stories of Odin, the King of the Gods, Thor and his mighty hammer and Loki – the shape changer, adventurer and mischief maker. In this engaging rod puppet production by Clydebuilt Theatre Company, the puppeteer battles frost giants, dodges magical beasts and brings the gods of old to life.

While sculpting his beautiful wooden puppets the puppet-maker relives these stirring ancient stories through his skilful carving and imaginative storytelling. Come and feel the thrill of timeless tales, just as the children of the Norse did long ago.

Established in 1987, Clydebuilt is one of Scotland’s leading touring puppet companies, working extensively throughout the UK as well as performing in China, Germany and the Middle East.  Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre charmed Swallow Theatre audiences in October 2016 with their Dinosaur Detectives show.

Myths of the Vikings is presented as part of, and supported by, the Puppet Animation Scotland Festival 2018.

Suitable for ages 5+ and their families
