“The perfect introduction to a foreign language for tiny ones”. The List
Tania has come from Paris for The World’s Tastiest Carrot competition. In her leather trunk, she carries her very own garden filled with animal friends. They all want a taste of her prize carrot.
Narrated in English with a smattering of French from the puppets, the show is a fun and heart-warming piece of theatre with a big surprise ending. Accessible to all non-French speakers.
After the show audience members – particularly the smallest ones – are invited onto the stage to dance as well as taste real carrots, but only if they want to.
Based in Edinburgh, Le Petit Monde crafts immersive bilingual storytelling experiences that introduce young children and their adults to artistic director Tania Czajka’s native French language and culture. The company’s productions foster curiosity, expand the imagination, and tap into a child’s innate ability to learn and engage with the spoken word to jump-start their foreign language acquisition skills.
This event is part of Puppet Animation Festival 2018.
