Theatre Royal 66-68 Shakespeare Street Dumfries DG1 2JH
Tinderbox Orchestra is a fusion of instruments, styles and people. They write and perform original compositions, experiment with ideas and collaborate with bands and artists across genres. Comprising and led by young people aged 13-25, the orchestra works with hundreds of young people each year and has produced a number of award-winning productions, working with local communities in Edinburgh and throughout Scotland through to international collaborators in China, Chile, Croatia and Bosnia. For this show, they will be playing music from their debut album Tinderbox as well as collaborating with some of the region’s young musicians and local arts collective The Stove Network to create an orchestral experience like no other.
