Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for our electronic newsletters, we collect personal information that you provide us with via our online forms, namely; Your Full Name, Email Address & Postcode

We collect this information to;

o    Tell you about our news and activities that you want to hear about

o    Contact you if we need to obtain or provide you with additional information

o    Check our records are correct

o    Obtain  statistical data about  the locations of people we are speaking to.

We do not rent or trade your name or email address with other organisations and businesses.

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our electronic newsletter and to store your details. We gather statistics of email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our communications. For more information about your details being shared with, stored and used via MailChimp, please see MailChimp’s Privacy Policy.  You can unsubscribe to our electronic newsletter at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our mailings.

We will occasionally provide the opportunity to opt in to being contacted by a  specific third party.  For example you may choose to hear updates directly from a theatre company, or band. If you opt in you agree that we will pass on information that you provide to the company and that the use of this information is  then dictated by that organisations privacy policy. We will only do this  with your explicit consent. We will never gain financially by doing so.

Ticketing Data

When you purchase a ticket/s, we collect personal information that you provide us with via our third-party Box Office systems TicketSource or Eventbrite, namely; Your Full Name, Address and Postcode, Email Address and Contact Telephone Number.

This Information is shared with Dumfries & Galloway Council who manage our ticketing through the Midsteeple box office.  You can read how the council uses your data HERE

A list  providing  the full names  of customers  for individual shows & the number  of tickets bought is provided to volunteers or partner organisations for the purpose of running front of house.

We do not collect debit/credit card details, PayPal information or any other financial details used to purchase tickets or book onto a workshop. We do not rent or trade your personal information with other organisations and businesses.

ANONYMISED DATA SHARING

We share anonymised data statistics with other organisations for purposes of reporting to funders (e.g. Creative Scotland, Dumfires & Galloway Counil, Leader, the Holywood Trust and EventScotland), working in partnership with other organisations, and for our own evaluation reports. This data is used to analyse and report on our work.

ACCESS TO YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

You are entitled to contact Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival to request;

o    A copy of your personal information

o    Amendments to be made to your personal information

o    For your personal information to be deleted for our systems

We will store the data in the manor outlined above unless  requested to do otherwise.
