A comedy about growing up and manning up

A unique show that gets young men talking about health

Growth is the third play from critically acclaimed playwright Luke Norris. It follows mid-20s’ Tobes as, in the space of a few days, his girlfriend breaks up with him; he loses his job; and a Tinder date tells him she won’t sleep with him until he gets the lump on his testicles looked at.

He goes through a consultation process with his local GP and they decide the lump has to be removed. Tobes then deals with the aftermath and goes to a support group. He realises his problems aren’t as big as he’d made them seem.

Growth is a very funny look at a young man dealing with an overwhelming problem. One of the only plays dealing with the taboo subject of male health, in particular testicular cancer.

The show opening at Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2016 and had the audience in fits of laughter from start to finish. The critical response to the play was overwhelming with Growth picking up plenty of stars and a prestigious Fringe First Award.
