Our new Arts Live, seasonal programme launched on 1 October and will run until the end of March. Highlights include Brilliance to be performed at both Sanquhar Town Hall and Lagwyne Hall, Carsphairn (7 and 8 November). The show is an intriguing tale about the slow process of rural electrification and its illumination of every corner of village life.

Puffin is a delightful family show, suitable for children aged 7yrs+ showing at CatStrand, New Galloway and Wigtown County Buildings (21 and 22 November). The story explores our relationships and our responsibilities to each other through music and movement through an unusual friendship between a girl and a puffin.

Choreographed by multi-award winner and former BBC Radio 2 artist in residence, Thomas Small, and inspired by Richard Drew’s iconic images of a man falling from the World Trade Center Within this Dust, has been presented to sell-out audiences around the world and will perform at both CatStrand in New Galloway and The Theatre Royal in Dumfries (8 and 9  February).
